On October 30^th, 2018 the go-ahead was given for a unique project: The DMG MORI SAILING TEAM was launched. The construction of the Teams yacht named “DMG MORI Global One” started last November at Multiplast in Vannes, France, and took about nine months to finish. Some components for the boat were manufactured on DMG MORI machines.

The DMG MORI Global One boat has been presented for the first time in France on August 31^st. After the Roll Out it made its way to Lorient. From now on, the Team will participate in the qualifying race to win the entry of “Vendée Globe 2020”. “Vendée Globe” will start in November 2020, the sailing race round the world, solo, non-stop and without assistance. Initially, training is planned in France and Portugal. In addition, the Team plans to participate at the Transatlantic Yacht Race, 'The Transat' and 'Transat NY-Vendée' in May 2020.

The Skipper of the Team is the Japanese sea adventurer Kojiro Shiraishi. Macos sierra dmg file.
