Posted : admin On 12/1/2019The Gunslinger can choose to use either a Fire build or a Shadow build. Shadow has main DPS from RMB which does dmg every single sec. The Fire has main DPS from his F skill, but it is not static damage but stack to use. This article will share the lasted popular build guides on Fire and Shadow, some PvP and PvE basic build guides for you. A few questions about the lightning strike projectiles. Do they get benefit from passive nodes that adds % increased dmg to melee physical dmg? Do the projectiles do my weapon phys dmg at all, or is it just the lightning portion? I dont know where to go with my skill points atm. I know ill be using LS onward, so is it any points in increasing 1h physical dmg? | Posted by Omentum on Aug 9, 2012, 9:14:49 PM |
I believe the projectiles have the same damage profile as the main attack, they just have their damage reduced by 20%. So if your LS tooltip says: main hand does 20-100 physical damage 30-150 lightning damage projectiles should do 80% of this or 15-80 physical, 24-120 lightning %physi dmg nodes wind up being pretty huge dps boosts for LS. The projectiles are not melee, and do no benefit from any melee-specific bonuses. They are dealing your weapon damage, and do benefit from bonuses to your weapon type, or categories which include your weapon. | Posted by Mark_GGG on Aug 10, 2012, 3:20:43 AM |
But 'melee damage' includes my weapon, right? | Posted by Omentum on Aug 10, 2012, 3:50:00 AM |
' I must admit, I am confused by this. I thought the projectile damage was based on your melee weapon damage (70% of it), and thus would benefit from any Increased Melee Physical Damage because the initial attack does. I take it this isn't the case? Urist McDwarfy has been happy lately. He admired an exceptional ARPG recently. He took joy in slaughter lately. He has been attacked by the dead recently. ' Well, he does say they *do* benefit from bonuses to your weapon type or categories which include your weapon. | Posted by Kraide on Aug 10, 2012, 8:40:31 AM |
He also says that the projectiles do not benefit from any melee-specific bonuses. But Increased Melee Physical Damage is included in 'categories which include your weapon'. At least I'm not the only one confused. Urist McDwarfy has been happy lately. He admired an exceptional ARPG recently. He took joy in slaughter lately. He has been attacked by the dead recently. Interesting information; It does make prety good sense though. General melee physical damage passives are quite rare though (generally only like 20% per character), so that part is not a big deal. However, strength can be a pretty huge factor, as well as supports such as increased melee physical damage. Fresh cakes for all occasions. I am guessing that Melee Physical Damage also does not help the projectiles if I am using Iron Grip, because Iron Grip specifically says 'the increase from strength'. Can anyone confirm that? Or is 'Melee Physical Damage' treated as a strength bonus equivalent? | Posted by on Feb 4, 2013, 6:15:38 PM |
' That is logical. Iron Grip only gives you Str bonus to projectiles. | Posted by Torin on Feb 4, 2013, 6:19:26 PM |
